
NOTE: All workshops are facilitated by trained workshop leaders experienced in teaching in IB programmes.
CATEGORY 1
The following workshops meet the requirements for authorization. Please note that each has a different audience and focus. All category 1 workshops are available in English, French and Spanish.

Building your IB programme: Primary years
Develop holistic inquiry-based learning, align practices with IB philosophy and support student success.

Head of school
Develop leadership understanding, align school mission with IB and plan IB authorization journey.

CATEGORY 2
For educators with IB experience, the focus is on various elements of specific programme delivery.
All category 2 PYP workshops are for administrators, coordinators and teachers who:
- have been working with the programme for at least one school year
- have previously attended a category 1 PYP workshop (scheduled or requested) facilitated by PYP workshop leaders organized by or through the IB.

Engaging collaborative communities
Support the PYP learning community, prioritize relationships and develop a collaborative vision.

Evidencing learning
Monitor, document, measure and report on learning, provide meaningful feedback, and support assessment capabilities.

Leading the learning
Enhance the identity of an IB World School and further develop leadership capabilities.
CATEGORY 3
For educators with substantial IB experience, the focus is on subject area delivery and deepening the understanding and meaning of an IB education.

Connecting subjects to create a coherent PYP curriculum
Consider the balance between disciplinary and transdisciplinary learning and the nature of the subject areas within the PYP.

Creating a curriculum for transdisciplinary learning
Design curriculum balancing disciplinary and transdisciplinary learning, involving students and the community.

Developing your learning community
Develop an inclusive learning community, celebrate diversity and engage in cycles of inquiry, action, and reflection.

Developing your PYP framework: Early years
Enhance understanding of learner agency and playful inquiry, and support early years learning.
