
NOTE: All workshops are facilitated by trained workshop leaders experienced in teaching in IB programmes.
CATEGORY 1
The following workshops meet the requirements for authorization. Please note that each has a different audience and focus. All category 1 workshops are available in English, French and Spanish.

CP Guidance counsellors
Understand career-related learning and support university and employer recognition.

CP Language and cultural studies
Implement engaging strategies and model the student language and cultural studies journey.

CP Personal and professional skills
Implement pedagogically sound strategies for personal and professional skills and address student needs.

CP Reflective project
Understand assessment criteria and develop supervision strategies for the reflective project.

Head of school
Develop leadership understanding, align school mission with IB and plan the IB authorization journey.
CATEGORY 2
For educators with IB experience, the focus is on various elements of specific programme delivery.
All category 2 CP workshops are for administrators, coordinators and teachers who:
- have been working with the programme for at least one school year.
- have previously attended a category 1 CP workshop (scheduled or requested) facilitated by CP workshop leaders organized by or through the IB.

CP Guidance counsellors
Provide career guidance, reflect on the counsellor role and support students in higher education applications.

CP Language and cultural studies
Enhance language and cultural studies teaching, share strategies, and support diverse student profiles.

CP Personal and professional skills
Enhance personal and professional skills teaching, share strategies, and support effective implementation and assessment.

CP Reflective project
Enhance reflective project implementation, share strategies, and support student research and analysis skills.
CATEGORY 3
For educators with substantial IB experience, the focus is on subject area delivery and deepening the understanding and meaning of an IB education.

Planning for programme evaluation
Develop capacity to implement IB programmes and impact student outcomes.

The role of the coordinator
Understand the responsibilities of an IB programme coordinator and explore strategies to support programme implementation.

Academic Integrity
Deepen understanding of academic integrity, develop proactive policies and support DP/CP students.

Approaches to teaching and learning for DP/CP classroom teachers
Explore IB educational philosophy, develop teaching strategies and support DP/CP students.

Approaches to teaching and learning for DP/CP coordinators and pedagogical leaders
Review teaching approaches, discuss implementation and develop action plans for DP/CP.

Assessment for learning in the DP/CP
Explore DP/CP assessment philosophies, design lesson plans and develop effective instructional strategies.

Concepts and inquiry in the DP/CP
Develop a deeper understanding of concepts and inquiry, backward planning and practical inquiry strategies.
